Deborah Nicholson

Family

Deborah Nicholson grew up in Buxton, Derbyshire. She studied for a law degree at Sheffield University and then attended the College of Law in Chester. Deborah moved to Kent in 1987 and qualified as a Solicitor that year. Deborah joined Stephens & Son in 2000 and became a Partner and head of the Family Department in 2001. Deborah has practised exclusively in family law since qualifying as a Solicitor and specialises in all areas of family law including divorce, children issues, financial disputes, cohabitation and domestic violence. Deborah is an accredited specialist in Resolution (first for family law) and a Member of the Law Society Specialist Family Law Panel. Deborah is also a trained Collaborative Lawyer and one of the founder members of the Maidstone and Medway Collaborative Law Group.
